I have poodles, and I groom them myself, and a friend of mine has a yorkshire terrier/poodle mix she asked if I could groom for her. the problem is I am not sure how they do it. A poodle cut and a yorkie cut are practically opposites. So how does one go about groom them? I thought about grooming him like a yorkie but he has poodle ears….on the other hand I can not clip him like a poodle because his hair isnt thick enough and it would make him look super skinny. Does anyone have Grooming Instructions for this cross? or know where to get them? thank you
You have to ignore the patterns and do what will bring out the best in the dog. Sometimes just using a no. 1 guard blade all over will enhance the features and be really cute.
I am trying to give my dog the works, but i want an idea of everything you can do in a grooming session. Such as trimming nail, and ect.

Pre bath brush and clip, nails clipped ears cleaned, bath re-moisturizer, anal glands, towel dry blow dry hand fluffed brushed finish clip, if needed the hair is removed from the ears.

Oster A5. My personal favorite. They are relatively inexpensive, can be easily serviced, (factory does it for free) and have many optional attachments that fit them. Don’t waste your money on the crap they sell at Walmart.
I’m going to be living on my own this summer, and my roommate and I need some dogs to feel secure. What are some breeds that make good guard dogs? We going to need breeds that are fast, powerful, and intelligent.
I will be taking my dad’s Plott Hound with me, very loud dog, but she’s too friendly. Not very strong or smart either. We plan on getting about three, excluding the Plott Hound.

Um… mainly any dog could be a good guard-dog if you trained it well. Mostly dobermans, bulldogs, german shepards or rottweilers

if it’s a legitimate professional groomer, they’ll know what you mean if you just say "puppy cut".
I’m afraid that a on-line Dog Grooming course will be a waste of my time and money.
You need hands on experience. An online course is not a good option. I’d hate to see you waste your money. They do have grooming schools that you attend in person, and also you can start by working with a groomer. Find a mentor and learn what all is involved with grooming. It’s not for everyone. I have a few friends that groom. I have a groomer that comes to my house, we talk as she is grooming the dogs. It can be a very stressful job. Dealing with dog owners can be a real pain.
